Corporate Sponsorship information for EANS courses and events
The European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS) is an independent association of both neurosurgical societies and, increasingly importantly, individual members. The EANS has long been recognised for the scientific quality of the congresses, meetings and symposia which it organises, which are explained in more detail below.
We are now seeking to strengthen our collaboration with other organisations involved in associated fields, and to ensure that industry participation in our events is organised in such a manner as to bring optimum benefits to both parties. In addition to participation in specific events, we are also offering Corporate Individual Membership of the EANS. For more details please download the document below.

In conjunction with selected industry partners, we arrange a number of fellowship programmes, which we are keen to extend. We have also developed strategic partnerships with relevant journals and magazines.

Participant numbers from last event: 230 trainees (fixed), around 50 senior European neurosurgeons as faculty members and 5 senior US residents who are invited as part of a reciprocal iniciative.
Competition for places on the Training Courses is fierce, and the events attract the cream of young European neurosurgeons. Those accepted are usually in their third of fourth year of specialist training. As the course cycle lasts four years, many students are already qualified neurosurgeons by the time they finish the courses.
Continuing Medical Education (CME) Courses
This is a developing area. The courses detailed below are those currently available; we hope to add a number of additional specialist interest courses within the next eighteen months.
Event: EANS CME Course in Spinal Neurosurgery.
Next event: Barcelona, Spain: November/December 2010.
Planned future event: This course is to be held on an annual basis; venues to be confirmed.

Duration: 4 days teaching time, with hands on workshops incorporated in the programme and the cadaver course for all participants on the last day.
Participant numbers from last event: 64 trainees (restricted because of the cadaver course; previous courses have attracted large numbers) and 12 - 15 senior European neurosurgeons as faculty. Trainees are qualified neurosurgeons or trainees in their last year prior to qualification. This course is also open to orthopaedic surgeons.
Event: EANS Training in Research Course.
Next event: Frankfurt, Germany: November 2010.
