EANS Research Course

2nd - 3rd October 2009

Paris, France

On behalf of the EANS Research Committee we invite you to the Eighth EANS Research Course: “Funding and Delivering Research – a European Perspective” with a special topic on Low Grade Glioma Research (programme attached).

The programme this year maintains its focus on interactive sessions on basic skills in neurosurgical research and publishing but with an extra dimension - Funding Neurosurgical Research in Europe. In addition to that, the special topic on Low Grade Glioma Research demonstrates skills in neurosurgical research in the context of this particular specialised field.

On Saturday 3rd October there will be the opportunity to discuss your own research ideas, draft proposals, or even your own research data with members of the Research Committee and your colleagues. Please do bring your data with you for these invaluable interactive sessions.

EANS Meeting for Qualified Young Neurosurgeons

It has unfortunately been decided to postpone the Young Neurosurgeon Meeting, originally scheduled to be held in Innsbruck in February 2010.

Although there was a significant amount of interest in the concept, this sadly did not translate into a sufficient number of online registrations and deposit payments. Those who made deposit payments will have these refunded as soon as possible.

We are, however, optimistic, that we will be able to arrange a similar event and some time in not too distant future, and hope to be able to provide more information too long.
