Launching EANS CerebroSpinal Fluid Task Force!

Dear Colleagues and Friends

In the coming months, the CerebroSpinal Fluid Task Force 
(CSF) will be set up following request & support of many colleagues, and under the aegis of the European Association of Neurological Surgeons.

The CSF Task Force 
aims and purpose - Setting higher standards of excellence in care for patients suffering from Cerebrospinal Fluid Disorders by Consultation, Standardization, Innovation and Education.

The areas of interest are significant, deserving of greater focus & discussion. The areas of interest are not exclusive and we aim to collaborate with other sections, e.g paediatric neurosurgery, oncology and etc.

The areas of interest include the following;

Hydrocephalus - Intraventricular Obstructive Hydrocephalus (IVOH), Non Intraventricular Obstructive Hydrocephalus (NIVOH),
Longstanding Overt Ventriculomegaly (LOVA),
Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NOH),
Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH),
Neuroendoscopic surgery
CSF Diversion procedures & Shunt Technology
Chiari Malformation,
Arachnoid cysts,
CSF pathway lesions - e.g. Pineal lesions, Colloid cysts.
Intracranial Pressure Monitoring
CSF Dynamics

You are all warmly invited to express interest and join our group by contacting the CSF task force. You may express an interest to take a more active role via the committee in a specific condition and also activity as education, research, protocol & guidelines development, and webinars.

We would like to extend a particularly warm welcome to our trainees and those who are relatively new to the world of CSF disorders. We assure you that your participation will enhance patient care in this field.
