Membership types

Our Membership Types

We have several different types of membership in order to best serve your interests, dependent on where you live and whether you're still in training or have retired. Most membership types have the option of Acta Neurochirurgica by post as well as online access, or online-only access without the provision of a postal copy. It's important to choose the membership type that is the best fit for you. In addition, individual members of the EANS may join a maximum of two specialist sections at an additional fee of €25 each. You can see more about our sections here. There are many benefits to section membership:

  • The opportunity to be considered as speakers for Section led sessions at EANS annual meetings and congresses
  • Regular bulletins, with topical news and articles of interest relating to the subspecialty will be provided.
  • Members of sections will be considered for participation in multi-centre clinical trials as investigators, and will be actively considered by the Section leadership as participants in grant applications relating to each Section's field of expertise.
  • Access to a private Facebook group of fellow members in your section.
  • Please note that those from World Bank Low/Low Middle Income countries are eligible for a special membership type at a significantly lower cost than the usual International Online rate. Please scroll to the bottom of the list to select this option if you come from a Low/Low Middle income group country. We will unfortunately not be able to issue refunds at a later date to those who apply for international membership in error.
