Welcome to the Young Neurosurgeons' Committee page
Mission
The Young Neurosurgeons Network is aiming to be the representative group for all European young neurosurgeons, organizing subcommittees and task forces in which they can directly participate by becoming Young Neurosurgeons Network
members. The Young Neurosurgeons Committee (YNC) supports European young neurosurgeons to develop leadership, research, communication and neurosurgical skills. We promote the early involvement of young neurosurgeons in EANS events
and projects within the committee structure but also in all other EANS activities. Working closely with the Board, we will develop projects of interest for the youngest EANS members and recruit young neurosurgeons to participate
in EANS annual scientific program, EANS Young Neurosurgeons Meeting program and other key committee activities.
Vision
We will create an opportunity for every EANS young neurosurgeon member to develop their skills and strengths with the help of our mentorship programs. EANS young neurosurgeon mentees will receive the best support to successfully advance
in their career and will be prepared to become faculty starting with our courses organized by the YNC.
Values
Geographical and cultural diversity are our shared values. We will focus on international inclusion and open-mindedness as integral values in our committee essence to shape the future of our work together.

stone for a more active participation in the EANS community.
What is it? A community, where people from all levels of training (from medical students to neurosurgeons up to 10 years after certification) can share their ideas, questions, experience, projects and ultimately, their common
passion for Neurosurgery.
What are the benefits for the EANS? The Network will provide direct access to a focused audience for easier distribution of:
- Direct participation in EANS YNC subcommittees
- Access to mentorship program
- Information about upcoming YNC activities (webinars, meetings, workshops etc)
- Invitation to participate in YNC projects:
- Surveys
- Research collaborative network
- EANS/YNC social media connection and sharing YNN posts to increase reach
- Priority and discount in YNC events: courses, Young Neurosurgeons Meeting
- Strengthen relationships with equivalent organizations (“WFNS Young Neurosurgeons Committee”, “Association of future Neurological Surgeons” in Africa, “Asian medical students and Residents organization of neurosurgery”, AANS endorsed student
groups etc)
Who will be eligible to apply?
- Senior medical students, interested in pursuing training in Neurosurgery
- Trainees at any level of their training
- Board-certified Neurosurgeons, up to 10 years after the end of their training
